It’s time to #FightFlu during National Influenza Vaccination Week!

Over the past year, you’ve undoubtedly heard a lot about COVID-19 vaccines. As of this writing, more than 197 million people in the United States have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the CDC. But have you gotten your flu shot yet?

December 5–11 is National Influenza Vaccination Week, a time to promote why it’s important – now more than ever – for everyone ages six months and older to get their annual flu shot. Since COVID-19 and the flu could spread simultaneously this winter, it’s important not only to protect your body against these illnesses but also to protect others around you. Those living with chronic conditions are even more at risk to falling ill, which could lead to pneumonia or a more-severe case of the flu.

If you haven’t gotten your flu shot yet this season, there’s still time. Find where you can get a flu shot in the US using the tool here. Once you’ve been vaccinated, be sure to spread the word on social media with your #FightFlu photos and share why you chose to roll up your sleeve this year.
