This study targeted adults between the ages of 18 and 70 with mild to moderate asthma. We focused our efforts on women between the ages of 18 and 64, since women have a 30% higher incidence of asthma, and are more likely to seek medical attention. The major challenge was launching the campaign during the most expensive media quarter of the year.


Our recruitment campaign – which included print advertising and site materials – helped us easily exceed the contracted recruitment goal of 3,500 referred pre-qualified patients. And we kept patients interested and active in the study via a retention effort that included items such as a bimonthly newsletter and gift certificates.
