Our goal for this study was to randomize 155 patients across 46 sites. Based on our successful recruitment of the previous Petal Study, we focused our efforts on women between the ages of 25 and 44.
Our tactics included brochures, posters, radio, print, online ads, a website, and community outreach. We delivered more than 6,000 inquiries to the centralized recruitment center, and more than 1,600 pre-qualified, interested candidates to research sites. In the end, we directly referred 71% of all screened patients and 62% of randomized patients. The sponsor was able to close recruitment 10 months early, saving more than $12 million in the process.
