Our task was to randomize 480 patients across 108 sites for this Phase 2 study on HPV that included two protocols combined into one. Research revealed that our target audience of females between the ages of 18 and 40 were heavy readers of local entertainment and weekend publications, and above-average users of the internet for healthcare research.
Our campaign included site recruitment tools, a brochure, poster, website, physician letter templates, print and online advertising, and community clinic outreach. In additional, our public relations initiatives resulted in 34 news stories and 1.2 million impressions. More than 1,700 patients were screened and 538 patients randomized, exceeding our goal by 12%. Our retention campaign also proved successful with a 94% completion rate.
