Praxis is a longtime supporter and friend of the Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP), and we just can’t imagine the clinical trial space without the constant support they provide trial participants. Wondering exactly what CISCRP does for the clinical research industry? Check out their mission statement:
The Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP) is a non-profit organization founded in 2003 and dedicated to educating the public and patients and to engaging these critical stakeholders as partners in the clinical research process. CISCRP provides a variety of award-winning and internationally recognized educational resources, programs and services including print and digital materials; media outreach and awareness campaigns, live educational events; study volunteer appreciation programs; patient advisory boards and custom research assessing patient health journeys and study volunteer experiences; and plain language clinical trial results summaries.
These words and the actions behind them mean so much to Praxis simply because we have the same motivations, which are to provide the best patient experience we can, and to eliminate any negative stigma surrounding the clinical research industry. While we ultimately aim to recruit patients, the first step in reaching those individuals is spreading awareness of what participation actually means. CISCRP created the following infographic to represent the impact their efforts have made over the years, from providing educational materials, to distributing market research and partnering with patient advocacy groups – and the results speak for themselves.
CISCRP is an incredibly impressive organization, and we consider ourselves lucky to be involved in their work. We’re proud that our very own Robert Loll serves on the board of advisors, and all of us at Praxis continue to root for CISCRP in any way we can, including through the creation of our collaborative ad that runs in USA Today each year.
