Spotlight on CISCRP Campaigns

Back in March, Praxis attended the Patients as Partners Conference, where Ken Getz, founder and board chair of the Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP), shared all about CISCRP’s latest clinical trial awareness campaigns. CISCRP continues to work hard at spreading awareness of clinical research and participation through their Journey to Better Health exhibit, now on its fall 2019 tour. Between September and November, this traveling exhibit will be visiting Atlanta, Chicago, and New York. The purpose of the mobile exhibit is to reach out to underserved communities experiencing significant disparities in clinical research literacy. By bringing educational resources and local ambassadors directly to those areas, CISCRP is providing individuals with an opportunity to learn more about the clinical research process and participation.

After testing this idea in Los Angeles in 2018, CISCRP has now partnered with several companies to support an even larger initiative over the next five years. We can’t wait to see how this campaign grows and how it will positively affect underserved communities.
