
Pediatric Urinary Incontinence:
Helping parents help their children.
After being approached to recruit children between the ages of 5 and 10 to take part in a research study, we realized the first challenge would be getting through to parents. Although parents with children who suffer from urinary incontinence are well aware of the stress it brings to the entire family, they would have to be convinced that study participation would be in their child’s best interest and that it would be safe.
