Risk Worth the Reward as Praxis Lands a Global Award
Local company's work recognized among entries from more than 25 countries
Brentwood, TN — January 2011 — Praxis, a company specializing in centralized patient recruitment for clinical research studies, was recently honored with a Global Award for direct mail created for its clients and prospects. The Global – Praxis' ninth in the last ten years – is the world's most coveted healthcare award and the only dedicated to the recognition of excellence on an international basis.
The direct mail pieces feature people engaged in risky behavior – a man trying to feed steak to a bear, and a woman watching television in a bathtub – with the message that it's even riskier to recruit patients for clinical research studies without the aid of Praxis. These components were part of a larger multi-media campaign dubbed the Praxis Risk Files. The main hub was a website which housed numerous videos of people doing stupid things. Email advertising, a Facebook page, and a Twitter feed were also utilized to drive traffic to the site. The campaign even had its own YouTube channel.
"We see the results every day, as the patient recruitment programs we develop deliver qualified candidates to enroll our sponsors' trials," said Donna Beasley, Co-CEO of Praxis. "To be recognized by the Globals, the industry standard for healthcare advertising excellence, is icing on the cake."
