Praxis Launches Patient Recruitment Program
Cutting $1.8 Million from Sponsor’s R&D Cost
Brentwood, Tenn. – August 13, 2009 -- Praxis, a company specializing in centralized patient recruitment for clinical research studies, is providing recruitment & retention services to a top pharmaceutical company for two medical research studies. The studies explore a possible treatment for an important mental health issue.
This is a top priority compound for which Praxis successfully completed the prior phase recruitment. These trials seek two different yet complimentary patient populations. The determination of the complimentary populations allowed Praxis to create an umbrella brand for the sponsor under which both protocols can be effectively and simultaneously recruited. The umbrella program resulted in a $1.8 million dollar reduction in the sponsor’s clinical program cost.

Nearly 2,000 patients will be randomized across 75 sites within a nine-month period.
